Tune IN: What part of you is dormant?
It’s easy to lose the pieces of yourself that bring you joy, that light you up, that energize your soul.
Life gets busy, we become more serious, more stressed, more self-critical.
We watch everyone else hustle, achieve, having it all together.
We often don’t notice when we stop nourishing ourselves, when we stop playing, when we stop being kind to ourselves.
Or perhaps we notice but we tell ourselves it’s “only temporary”… until it’s not and it’s just become the way we are. Then we wonder why we feel so bad, why we are frustrated, angry, impatient, close to tears all the time… it must be our period, we think, except that it happens allll month long.
It’s a sneaky, slippery pathway and it happens to so many of us.
What if nourishing our souls wasn’t optional, but essential?
What if having fun, laughing, engaging in creative acts, moving our bodies in ways that feel lovely was woven into your core framework of being?
What if these softer elements of our existence that perhaps don’t spit out profit or a new title are the underlying ingredients that help us be resilient, prevent burn out and remain in a positive forward momentum?
I know that most of you “know” this but the challenge is in finding YOUR way to actually implement this new framework, finding YOUR way to wake up your fun, joyful side and letting that side have an active place in your life.
So let’s start.
Not tomorrow. Today. Now.
I want to know:
What did you used to do purely for joy? Maybe before you had kids, or got into a relationship, or before you started expecting yourself to be a serious adult.
What side of you is dormant?
And for some of you, maybe you’ve never fully tapped into joy, I’d love to know what do you secretly think would be super joyful? What do you admire or feel envious about that you see in others? Those might be good hints for where to start.
Joy, fun, play, lightness is there & accessible. Sure, it’s more accessible in some seasons than in others, but it’s still always there.
Let’s find it.
Let’s wake it up again.
There is no better time to do this than in the Spring time
