New Year. One New Intention.

If you’re wondering where I have been, the glamorous answer is “at home with my kids” … you know, classic 2020 style ;)

(If you’ve missed connecting, I have been a bit more active on my instagram simply because it’s a more on-the-go platform.)

That said, I am so very excited to be back here, creating content, and connecting with you.

Today, I made a video for you instead of just writing.

In a time when we all crave more connection, more eye-contact, more faces that are not covered, I felt like this was the better, more genuine and loving route to take.

In the video below I invite you to adopt a new intention for 2021 with me: The intention to stay connected to yourself.

This intention became an essential practice for me in 2020 and it is, hands down, what got me through so many of the challenging moments.

In the video, I am sharing some of my personal challenges from 2020 to show you how I utilized this practice of self-connection to give me peace, clarity, and strength in times when I really needed it, like my birth with Zoe in April.

Trust me, when I tell you that fostering a deep connection with yourself and nourishing this connection in simple, small ways will make the biggest difference in your life.

Watch it here:
(8 minutes)

Here are the question I encourage you to think, feel into, and journal about in the video:

  1. How do you like to connect with yourself?

  2. When do you feel the most connected to yourself? This might be during certain activities, when you are with specific people or in particular spaces… tune into what comes up for you.

  3. When and in what circumstances do you like who you are the most?

I, personally, find that I always feel the most connected to myself and have the clearest connection to who I really am when I give myself time in a quiet environment, when I am in nature and my lungs fill with fresh air, when I move my body in simple ways (like swimming, walking, or dancing) that allow my mind to get into calm space of being.

Another, very different, circumstance is when I am with close friends who share an inquisitive and analytical mindset AND have my sense of humor. Laughing always connects me to who I like being the most :)

What about you?

Take some time to think about this, feel into it, and journal about the above questions… and then simply see what comes up for you.

Happy New Year!
Love,

Caroline
