Feel like you've lost yourself a bit?
One of the most common themes in my work with women is the feeling that you are out of touch with yourself, like they’ve lost yourself, and you are not sure of what you want (or knowing what you ideally want but feeling like it’s impossible anyways, so why should you talk about it).
Sound familiar?
This forgetting-who-you-are is particularly prevalent in my mom clients, but I also see women who lost themselves in relationships (putting their partner’s needs, values and desires above their own) or in their family’s or society’s standards (the external definitions of beauty, success, worthiness etc.).
If this is you... if you feel like you’ve lost touch with who you are for whatever reason (or for however long!!), I want you to know that it’s never too late to rediscover yourself, to show up, to change and evolve and speak up for what you desire, what brings you joy, and who you want to be.
Know this:
YOU are always waiting for you, ready to re-emerge when you are willing to remember yourself.
Start small. Ask yourself simple questions... they may seem trivial, but they aren’t (ex. What colors do I like? What fabrics feel good on my skin? What makes me smile? Where would I most like to sit in my home to take 5 deep breathes? What music brings me joy? Where do I feel most free? When do I feel most calm?). Sometimes we forget the simplest things that collectively make up who we are.
Remember yourself today (& every day).
Love,
Caroline
