Self Quest Thursday: What lifts you up when you feel down?
Is it Spring yet?
If you live in a 4-season climate, you know that this winter has certainly made its presence known! As someone who doesn’t exactly thrive (to say it mildly) in the cold or the dark, this winter has felt super intense to me. On top of that, my little family and I just navigated a tough week with the flu. I cannot tell you what I’d give for just a little warmth and sunshine to help us recharge.
I know that I am not alone in feeling this way. February is notoriously a challenging month for so many of us.
That’s why today, I want to pool our ideas for:
What lifts you up when you feel down?
Think of the woman you are right now and tune into HER!
What are your go-to tools that help you feel a smidge more buoyant?
Here are a few ideas to help you get started:
Do you long for company, a friend to distract you, maybe a dinner with your girlfriends?
Do you need solitude, a quiet space that’s just yours where nobody asks you anything?
Do you just.need.warmth and a hot bath or a steamy shower lifts your spirits?
Do you need color and brightness in your wardrobe to offset the bleak grayness outside?
Do you need to pause the educational podcasts and instead jam some more upbeat music?
Do you have to surrender and lean into this lazier, slower season by adjusting your expectations of yourself?
Do you make space for frivolous activities that have no point at all besides just being enjoyable?
Do you need to plan something to look forward to?
All of the above? Yes, me, too… and a tropical vacation (obviously 😉).
